Occupy Reno

Ok everyone, I hope that you have heard of Occupy Wall Street by now (if not, turn off the tube and check this out: https://occupywallst.org/). This protest is as it sounds, an occupation of the financial sector of NY (and with it our economy) that will not cease until we have reached a major political shift.  We must realize that the time has come for the center of power in this country to shift from those that have money to those that have none. It is improper for the top 1% of Americans to hold the majority of the wealth in this country, and we cannot stand for it any longer.  We, the 99%, must stand up to the government and loudly proclaim that we want our country back and we will not go away until that happens.  The brave folks on wall street are currently doing just that, and it is time we showed our support.  For those of use whose means have been so limited by corporate America that we cannot make it to fight, it is ok because the fight is coming to us.  On Wednesday 10/5 at 12:00 noon, there will be a general assembly meeting held at the Joe Crowley Student Union on the UNR campus to discuss and begin organization of the Occupation of Reno.  I urge all of you to cut class, call in sick to work, find baby sitters, whatever it takes, and make your way to the General Assembly.  Remember we ARE the 99% that are being fucked by the red, white and blue dick of the current plutonomy.  If we band together we can use our vast numbers to overcome the money and greed that have fought so hard to put us down, and we can finally attain the freedom that we so rightly deserve.
